Open Burn Announcement for Monday, October 19th, 2020

*** Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information. ***
Agricultural burning:
Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning be limited to the period
from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Backyard burning inside special control areas:
Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality regulates open burning in the Willamette Valley in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules. DEQ has contracted with the Oregon Department of Forestry meteorology program to produce a daily Open Burning Announcement indicating types and times of burning allowed in the Willamette Valley based on expected meteorological conditions.
